How to hook up ps3 to amp to tv with 2 hdmi cables?

-I've got a ps3 to hook up using hdmi to my amp then using another hdmi cable from amp to tv, please tell me what inputs to put them in and what inputs on tv please, I have 3 hdmi "ins" on tv and only amp I have 1 "hdmi in" and one input for bd and one for input out. please help ASAP thank you;-)sorry but it probably won't work with your setup , but try the hdmi output from ps3 to either input on the amp and then from it's output to any available tv input . it probably won't give you any picture though this way .

if you can only output video to the tv using hdmi from the ps3 ( it only has one hdmi output for video ) then you have to find a working solution

unless you can buy some sort of hdmi splitter and connect two cables from the ps3 it's probably not possible



if you want the amp connected for stereo audio then you can :

connect hdmi from ps3 to any available tv input . set up the ps3 resolution as usual

connect either an optical audio or the ps3 av cables from ps3 to the amp ( depending on available inputs ) if using av cables just connect the red and white cables to the amps red and white inputs

now on the ps3 look for the sound settings > enable multi out .

done . turn on the tv and ps3 . if you want stereo sound through the amp you'd only have to turn it on to whatever input you used ( usually something like auxiliary or whatever )

you now have audio connected to your amp and both audio and video to the tv
