What watt soldering iron should i use to mod a xbox 360 controller?

-I am doing a led mod. i have heard to use an iron anywhere from 15 to 40 watts. what is best?You'll want something really low wattage, if you're just a beginner you should try the 15W soldering iron radio shack sells. I used this iron when i first started soldering, this will work fine for the ring of light board and controller, though you won't be able to get the solder hot enough on the motherboard itself.
